Regina Vause, one of the suspects charged in the 2006 murder of Roscoe Mayes, was arraigned in Christian Circuit Court Wednesday afternoon.
Vause’s arraignment had been delayed to allow her time to find a private attorney, but Judge Andrew Self appointed a public defender to the case Wednesday and entered a not-guilty plea on her behalf.
A pre-trial conference was set for July 13 for Vause, while her codefendant—Lashanda Person—was set for July 6 after it was continued in court.
The two are charged with first-degree murder and first-degree robbery in connection with the 2006 murder of Roscoe Mayes on Greenville Road, where an autopsy determined Mayes died from blunt force trauma.
