Service members of the Department of Defense and officials with the Delta Regional Authority are in Hopkinsville for an Innovative Readiness Training, where citizens can receive free healthcare.
Starting Wednesday and running through June 25, citizens can go to Christian County Middle School from 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. each day and receive free health, dental, mental health and veterinary care. Dr. Corey Wiggins, the DRA Federal Co-Chairman, spoke with the Rotary Club of Hopkinsville Tuesday and urged those who need healthcare but may not normally be able to afford to come take advantage of the opportunity.
He says this acts as training for members of the Department of Defense, and they’ve partnered with local healthcare agencies and pharmacists to be able to immediately provide aid if needed.
No appointments are required to take part and there are no income or residency requirements to receive treatment, and providers will treat patients ages three and older.
