Benefit for the Bend is coming up on June 18 and all money raised from the dinner and the silent auction will go back into funding for Jeffers’ Bend Environmental Center.
Charles Turner and Diane Croney-Turner with Pennyrile RC&D appeared on WHOP Thursday morning and say they’re excited to have this event starting at 6 p.m. June 18, where people will be able to eat their fill and bid on silent auction items, of which there are plenty.
Croney-Turner says they hope to raise a good amount, and it’s for a good cause, as it goes back into care for Jeffers’ Bend and they’re family friendly events.
Turner says the Pennyrile RC&D is behind more than people realize, including flooding abatement in the nine-county region.
Benefit for the Bend will be held at the Christian County Ag. Extension Office and they’re expecting a good turnout with the hope to raise over $16,000. Tickets are $30 each, or a table for six people is $180. For more information, call (270) 885-5600.
