Tuesday at 4 p.m. is non-partisan filing deadline

Tuesday at 4 p.m. is the filing deadline if you intend to run for non-partisan office in the general election.

Non-partisan races include elections for mayor and city council in smaller towns, school board positions and judicial elections.

Oak Grove Mayor Theresa Jarvis is currently opposed by Jackie Oliver, Crofton Mayor Daniel Lacy is seeking re-election, Pembroke Mayor Jeanette Aldridge is seeking another term and no candidates have signed up to run for mayor of Lafayette.

Christian County School Board Chairman Tom Bell is now opposed in his District 5 race by Dan Mason, who ran an unsuccessful campaign for the Republican nomination for judge-executive in the primary.

District 3 Board Member Lindsey Clark is currently unopposed.

In Todd County, Trenton Mayor Martha Jo Ray has filed for re-election.

Norma Johnson Williams is seeking another term on Guthrie City Council and George Orr is running for another term on Elkton City Council.
