Christian County’s run in the KHSAA State Tournament ended Friday with an 8-0 loss to St.X. The Tigers scored four times in the bottom of the first and never looked back. The Colonels only scoring threat was in the fifth inning when they laded the bases but couldn’t score.The Colonels were held to seven hits and Elijah Underwood took the pitching loss to end his season at 62 while Christian County concluded the season 29-8. St. X will meet Central Hardin in quarterfinal play Saturday afternoon.
In other action: Central Hardin edges Corbin 2-1, McCracken County defeated Hazard 16-9 and Campbell County run ruled Johnson Central 14-2 in 5 innings.
