The PGA of America announced Wednesday it has sold Valhalla Golf Club in Louisville to a group of club members. Valhalla has hosted the PGA Championship three times, the Senior PGA Championship once and the Ryder Cup. The 105th PGA Championship will be played there in 2024.

Patrick Cantlay will defend his title at the Memorial Tournament that begins today at the Muirfield Village Golf Club in Dublin, Ohio. Nashville’s Brandt Snedeker is in the field.

The US Women’s Open is teeing off today at Pine Needles Golf Club in Southern Pines, North Carolina.

Three-time PGA tour winner Bart Bryant is dead at the age of 59. Bryant reportedly died in a car crash in Tampa after a truck slammed into the back of his SUV. Bryant beat Tiger Woods by six strokes to win the 2005 Tour Championship.
