Fire that began in the kitchen caused damage to an apartment on Park Avenue in Hopkinsville Monday night.
Lt. Payton Rogers says two Hopkinsville Fire Department stations were dispatched to the residence in the 600 block of Park Avenue about 8 p.m. and found a small fire under the kitchen sink area.
It was quickly extinguished and the smoke and fire damage to the residence was relatively minor.
