A crowd gathered at Riverside Cemetery in Hopkinsville Monday morning as VFW Post 1913 honored and remembered those who gave all defending the United States of America.
Robert Kaminski is the commander of the local chapter of the Disabled American Veterans and says we can all honor the dead by how we live our lives on a daily basis.
He urged everyone to continue to be encouraged that America remains strong because men and women are willing to fight and die when necessary to preserve freedom.
Boy Scout 123 handed out programs and American flags to those in attendance..
