The Cincinnati Reds pounded the Chicago Cubs 20-5 in the series finale Thursday at Great American Ballpark. Kyle Farmer hit two home runs in going 4-4 with 5 RBI. The Reds open a weekend series with the San Francisco Giants this evening with pregame at 5:10 on News Radio 95.3 FM/1230 AM WHOP.
The Cubs begin an Interleague series with the Chicago White Sox starting tomorrow.
Elsewhere in the National League: Despite a home run from Paul Goldschmidt, the St. Louis Cardinals lost to the Milwaukee Brewers 3-2 at Busch Stadium. Adam Wainwright took the pitching loss for the Redbirds who host the Brewers again this evening.
The Atlanta Braves lose the series finale to the Philadelphia Phillies 4-1 last night. Atlanta welcomes Miami for a weekend series beginning tonight at Truist Park.
