CCHS students take first, second, third in Ky. Congressional Art Contest

Christian County High School is celebrating some of their student artists, as Congressman James Comer announced that the top three places of the 2022 Congressional Art Contest came from CCHS.

According to a news release, Macy Gentry of Christian County High School is the winner of the 2022 Congressional Art competition—Gentry’s charcoal composition is titled ‘Horse and Jockey’ and will hang in the U.S. Capitol. Second place when to CCHS student Leslie Valles, with her photograph ‘Desert Road’ and then Madison Latham, also of CCHS, took third with her work ‘Always Faithful’.

Congressman Comer says, “Congratulations to Macy, Leslie, and Madison on their outstanding submissions. The 2022 Congressional Art Competition included many excellent submissions from the 1st District. I am proud to select these pieces and place them on full display in the U.S. Capitol and my Washington, D.C. office.”
