With the primary election in the rear view mirror, candidates are now shifting focus to the November general election, including a retired educator who is seeking to be State Representative in the Ninth District.
Bianca Crockam has been proud to call Christian County home for many years, and she felt driven to run for office out of a desire to create real, positive change for her part of the Commonwealth. The democrat says she wants to be an advocate not just for teachers in the state, but for all citizens, with a long list of goals she would work to achieve if elected.
Another focus would be on attracting more specialty medical providers to the area. Crockam says it is time for a change to really advance the county, and she’s excited for the opportunity to do that for the residents of the Ninth District.
She says she wants to not only listen to the public—she intends to take those concerns and wants straight to Frankfort to get the results they need.
People can learn more about Crockam and her experiences as a local educator, her goals and policies if elected and more by going online to biancacrockam.com. She will also host meet and greet events on Thursday at Heather’s Ice Cream from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. and then on June 2 at LB Event and Party Rentals from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m.
Crockam will face off against longtime incumbent Republican Myron Dossett on the ballot in November.
