Christian County and Hopkinsville advance in 8th district play

Christian County routed Fort Campbell 15-0 in 3 innings. The Colonels got two hits each from a trio of players, Preston Phan, Josh Snorton and Carter Sholar. Lane Gamble picked up a complete game win for the Colonels now 25-7.
Fort Campbell was held to two hits, one a double by starting and losing pitcher Eric Blazekowski as the Falcons finish the season 4-28.

In the nightcap, Hopkinsville pitcher Preston Chadouin struck out 14 and held University Heights to four hits in a 6-0 victory. Zach Moss had two of the Tigers five hits with Ryan Luckey getting two of University Heights four hits. Ian Tyler took the pitching loss for the Blazers who conclude the season 12-16. Hopkinsville improves to 13-14.

Hopkinsville hosts Christian County in the championship game tonight at 7:30 at Tiger Field, with the F&M Bank pregame show at 7:15 on News Radio 95.3 FM/1230 AM WHOP and whopam.com.

5th District: Trigg County edged Crittenden County 3-2 and Lyon County pounded Livingston Central 15-2 in 6 innings.

6th District: Union County topped Webster County 6-2.

7th District: Caldwell County blanked Dawson Springs 15-0 in 5 innings and Madisonville was a 12-2 victor over Hopkins Central also in 5 innings.
