Several people were injured in a multi-vehicle accident Saturday on Interstate 69 in Caldwell County.
The Caldwell County Sheriff’s Office says deputies were notified of a reckless driver in the area of the 92 mile-marker of I-69 about 8:15 a.m. Saturday and then learned of a three-vehicle accident.
Investigation determined 54-year old Julie Mollette of Murray struck the back of a vehicle operated by 47-year old Paul Kirkwood of Hanson, causing him to lose control, cross the median and strike a vehicle driven by 67-year old William Southard of Cadiz, KY.
Kirkwood and his 11-year old passenger were flown by Air Evac to Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville. Southard and his passenger, 68-year old Robyn Southard, were transported to Baptist Health in Madisonville.
