Princeton’s Emma Talley had a four over 76 and missed the cut at five over par at the LPGA Tour’s Cognizant Founders Open in Clifton New Jersey.
Sebastian Munoz, Ryan Palmer and David Skinns at 15 under are tied for the lead heading into today’s third round of the PGA Tour’s AT&T Byron Nelson Classic. Louisville area native Justin Thomas is tied for 15th at 10 under par while Nashville’s Brandt Snedeker missed the cut.
Phil Mickelson will not defend his PGA Championship title when the event is played next week at Southern Hills in Tulsa, OK. The PGA of America made the announcement Friday, but offered no explanation to why Mickelson will not play next week. It’s the second major Mickelson has skipped this season after not playing in The Masters last month.
