Coleman announces bid for Ky. Attorney General

A former federal prosecutor is the first to enter the race to replace Daniel Cameron.

A day after Cameron entered the GOP race for Governor, former U.S. Prosecutor Russell Coleman became the first candidate to declare for the Attorney General’s race.

Coleman was appointed as U.S. Attorney for the Western District of Kentucky in 2017 by then-President Donald Trump. He also served as Senior Advisor and Legal Counsel for Senator Mitch McConnell prior to his appointment.
