Murray State picked up a number of Ohio Valley Conference awards Tuesday. Hannah James was named the OVC Pitcher of the Year and Racers coach Kara Amundson was named the OVC Coach of the Year.
In addition, James, outfielder Logan Braundmeier and utility player Gracie Osbron were named to the All-OVC first team, while infielders Lily Fischer and Sierra Gilmore, catcher Taylor Jackson) and pitcher Jenna Veber) earned second team honors. To round out MSU’s haul, Gracie Osbron was also named to the All-Newcomer team.
The OVC tournament begins today in Oxford, AL with Austin Peay meeting SIU Edwardsville at 12:30. If the Governors win, they would face Southeast Missouri at 4:30. Murray State will play either Austin Peay, SEMO or SIUE at 12:30 Thursday.
