Cameron to run for Ky. governor

Republican Kentucky Attorney General Daniel Cameron has announced he’s running for governor in 2023.

In a tweet Wednesday, Cameron said he’s running to “deliver bold conservative leadership to the commonwealth.” Cameron is completing his first term as Kentucky’s top law enforcement official. Republican Ag. Commissioner Ryan Quarles and Auditor Mike Harmon have also announced their intention to seek the GOP nomination next year.

Governor Andy Beshear, a Democrat, is seeking re-election.
