Christian County School System Superintendent Chris Bentzel says parents who have young ones entering kindergarten next school year can set up a tour of their building now and he expects ground to be broken for construction of the new high school in August.
Appearing on WHOP Wednesday morning, Bentzel says end of year testing has been going well, noting it’s all online this year.
If you want to tour the elementary school where your child is zoned to attend kindergarten, Bentzel says call that school as soon as possible to make an appointment.
Benztel expects to have all of the bids back by the end of next month for construction of the Hopkinsville Christian County Academy and ground could be broken in August.
Crofton Elementary School was closed Wednesday due to a scheduled power outage, but Bentzel doesn’t expect any lingering issues for the remainder of the week.
