Woman charged with third DUI following hit and run

Hopkinsville police charged a woman with nine different crimes, including her third DUI, following a hit and run collision Monday afternoon at East Ninth and Liberty Street.

It happened just after 4 p.m. and the report says 32-year old Nastacha Moore of Hopkinsville hit two vehicles at that intersection and then kept driving, with one of the victims flagging down an officer and giving a vehicle description.

Moore was located on East 12th Street and police say she made several turns and wouldn’t stop after lights and siren were activated for a traffic stop.

She eventually turned into a driveway on East 18th Street and was taken into custody.

Police say Moore hade slurred speech and smelled of alcohol and a search of her car revealed empty vodka bottles and loose prescription pills.

Moore was arrested and charged with her third DUI, fleeing or evading police, leaving the scene of an accident, driving with a DUI suspended license (second offense), possession of open alcohol containers in a vehicle, prescription pills not in the proper container and other counts.
