The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet has closed a section of Rocky Ridge Road in Trigg County due to a sinkhole.
The roadway is expected to remain closed until sometime Thursday afternoon.
Officials say Rocky Ridge Road is closed between the I-24 Overpass and East Adams Mill Road.
The crew plans to dig out the sinkhole, find an appropriate spot to build a concrete barrier in the bottom, then backfill with rock.
There will be no marked detour.
