Ky. gains 3,957 COVID cases, positivity rate on the rise

The COVID-19 positivity rate in Kentucky continues to creep back up, now at 7.19 percent, an increase over the last week.

There were also 3,957 new cases reported since last week’s report, along with 167 newly reported deaths. That brings the death toll in the Commonwealth up to 15,734 since the pandemic began.

There are currently 239 individuals in the hospital with COVID-19, 22 in the ICU and 11 on a ventilator.
