Austin Peay took the series finale from Murray State 7-4 in the final regular season series the schools will play against each other as members of the Ohio Valley Conference. The Governors are now 18-30/9-9 in the OVC while the Racers are 26-21/10-11 in the OVC. Austin Peay welcomes Western Kentucky Tuesday evening while Murray State hosts Western Illinois in a weekend series beginning Friday night.
Western Kentucky got a series win over UAB with a 5-3 win Sunday in Bowling Green. The Hilltoppers are now 16-30 overall/7-17 in Conference USA.
