Man served with indictment warrant for sexual abuse, attempted rape

A Christian County Grand Jury indictment warrant for sexual abuse and attempted rape was served Sunday night against a local man and he’s also facing several new charges.

Hopkinsville police stopped 29-year old Brandon Gard of Hopkinsville on Fort Campbell Boulevard for having blue lights under the front of his vehicle and the arrest citation says he admitted he didn’t have a driver’s license or insurance

A K9 alerted on the vehicle and a search allegedly revealed a glass pipe containing methamphetamine in the console.

He was charged with possession of meth, improper use of blue lights and driving without a license or insurance.

A computer check also showed Gard was sought on the indictment warrant for two counts of first-degree sexual abuse and two counts of attempted first-degree rape.

An April 29 indictment alleges that in March 2022 Gard had forcible sexual contact with a minor under 16 years of age and attempted to have sexual contact with another victim.
