Austin Peay won the series opener over Murray State 8-3 Friday night in Clarksville. The Governors are now 17-29 and 8-8 in the Ohio Valley Conference while the Racers fell to 25-20 and 9-10 in the OVC. The series continues Saturday afternoon at 1 at Raymond C. Hand Park.
Western Kentucky picked up a 7-3 Conference USA win over UAB Friday night in Bowling Green. WKU is now 26-18 overall/10-12 in Conference USA play. Game two of the series is this afternoon at 5 pm.
Top ranked Tennessee and Kentucky’s Friday night game in Lexington was suspended due to weather. UT was trailing 4-2 in the top of the 8th when the game was halted. The game will be resumed at 1 pm Hopkinsville time today, with the regularly scheduled game to follow.
