CCSB approves agreement concerning Country Club Lane property

Several items were approved at Thursday’s meeting of the Christian County School Board, including a measure concerning sale of  property on Country Club Lane.

After a lengthy closed session, the board returned to unanimously approve a purchase agreement in the amount of $810,000 with the Country Club Lane Real Estate Investment Limited Liability Company, as detailed by Board Chair Tom Bell.

The land was purchased by the board in December of 2012 for $540,000.

No further discussion was held during the open session of the meeting, and then the board returned to closed session to discuss the evaluation of the superintendent.

In other action, the board approved allowing officials to advertise for proposals from potential providers of high school athletic and extracurricular apparel for the Hopkinsville Christian County Academy.  Assistant Superintendent Josh Hunt says this is not entering into a contract, just allowing them to see what vendors have to offer and what ideas they can bring to the table.

The board heard presentations concerning the Christian County Public Schools Mission, Vision and Values plan, along with an update on student, parent and teacher surveys throughout the district.
