Reds lose, Mets sweep Braves, Cardinals & Cubs also lose Tuesday

The Cincinnati Reds are continuing their horrid start, losing to the Milwaukee Brewers 6-3 at American Family Field. The Reds have lost 18 of their last 19 games and have the worst record in the MLB at 3-and-20. To make matters worse, the team placed first baseman Joey Votto on the COVID injured list yesterday. The series continues tonight with the game to be joined following the UHA-Hopkinsville softball game on News Radio WHOP.

Elsewhere in the National League: The New York Mets took both games of a day-night doubleheader with the Atlanta Braves, winning 5-4 in game one and 3-0 in game two. The series concludes this afternoon at Citi Field.

Interleague: Kansas City got a 7-1 home win over St. Louis. The two game set in KC wraps up this afternoon. Meanwhile, the Cardinals are dealing with more COVID issues. Shortstop Edmundo Sosa is on the injured list with no designation, but likely COVID related according to multiple reports. The Cards have several members of the team and staff out due to the virus.

The Chicago White Sox scored three runs early and held off the Chicago Cubs 3-1. The Cubs have lost 10 of their last 13 as the series concludes tonight.
