A vehicle and foot pursuit that began on Fort Campbell Boulevard early Monday morning ended with the arrests of two men on multiple charges.

Hopkinsville police attempted to stop 32-year old Quinton Thompson of Hopkinsville for speeding on the Boulevard a few minutes before 1 a.m. and the report says he initially didn’t pull over and made turns before stopping at East 21st and Hazel Street.

His passenger, 31-year old Arsenio Rhodes of Nashville, fled the vehicle on foot, but was soon caught on South Virginia Street. Police say he had dropped a handgun loaded with hollow point ammunition and that marijuana and scales were also recovered.

Thompson was arrested for first-degree fleeing or evading police, speeding and instructional permit violations. Rhodes was arrested and charged with possession of a handgun by a convicted felon, use of restricted ammunition during commission of a felony, fleeing or evading police and trafficking in marijuana.
