Kentucky Secretary of State Michael Adams is reminding voters that Tuesday is the last day to request an absentee ballot.
You must have an excuse as to why you can’t vote in-person on May 17 or during the early voting period of May 12-14 and you can request a mail-in absentee ballot online via the Kentucky Secretary of State Voter Information Portal.
There will also be in-person absentee voting at courthouses across Kentucky May 4-6 and 9-11 for those who will be able those days, but not on Election Day or for early voting.
Meanwhile, Secretary Adams says in March, voter registration increased by 3,817 voters, with 10,698 new registrations, while 6,881 voters were removed – 5,874 deceased voters, 613 felony convicts, 300 voters who moved out of state, 71 adjudged mentally incompetent, and 23 who voluntarily de-registered.
