Reds losing woes continue, Cardinals & Cubs win while Braves also lose Sunday

The Cincinnati Reds are continuing their dreadful start to the 2022 season. The Reds ost to the Colorado Rockies 10-1 at Coors Field yesterday. Cincinnati has lost 17 of its last 18 games to fall to 3-and-19. The Reds will try to turn things around tomorrow night when they visit the Milwaukee Brewers. Elsewhere in the National League

The St. Louis Cardinals homered twice during a four-run seventh inning as they rallied to beat the Arizona Diamondbacks 7-5 in St. Louis. Harrison Bader hit a two-run homer and Nolan Arenado added a solo shot in the big inning for the Redbirds, who earned a split of the four-game series. The Cardinals welcome the Kansas City Royals for an Interleague game this afternoon at Busch Stadium.

The Atlanta Braves gave up seven runs in the first three innings in a 7-3 loss to the Texas Rangers. Dansby Swanson was the lone bright spot for Atlanta as the shortstop went two-for-three with a double and an RBI. The Braves continue their road trip when they visit the New York Mets tonight.

Marcus Stroman allowed only two hits over seven innings as the Chicago Cubs edged the Brewers 2-0 in Milwaukee. The right-hander earned his first win after striking out five over the seven scoreless frames. The Cubs open a series with the crosstown White Sox tomorrow night.
