Man arrested on burglary, assault charge

A Hopkinsville man was arrested on burglary and assault charges early Monday morning after he allegedly went into his ex-girlfriend’s home and assaulted her.

An arrest citation for 34-year old Ronald Bradley, Jr. of Hopkinsville says the victim heard a knock on her bedroom door on North Elm Street about 3:30 a.m. and she opened it, believing it was her son.

That’s when Bradley allegedly punched her twice and threw a table at her leg, causing visible injuries, according to the police report.

Bradley fled the scene prior to police arrival, but was soon located at his Talbert Drive apartment and arrested for first-degree burglary and fourth-degree assault (domestic violence).

Police list alcohol as a factor in the incident.
