Woman arrested on fentanyl, cocaine charges

An investigation at the Travel Inn on East Ninth Street in Hopkinsville Thursday night led to the arrest of a woman for fentanyl and cocaine trafficking charges.

Hopkinsville Police Sgt. Samantha Rodriguez for a check the welfare call and made contact with 19-year old Jakiyah Hinton of Hopkinsville in the vehicle in question.

The arrest citation says an odor of marijuana was coming from the car and that Hinton admitted that marijuana had been smoked in the vehicle. A search allegedly revealed a purse that belongs to Hinton containing a significant amount of pills believed to be fentanyl, a white substance believed to be cocaine and a small amount of marijuana.

Hinton was arrested and charged with trafficking in fentanyl, trafficking in cocaine and possession of marijuana.
