The Judicial Nominating Commission, led by Kentucky Chief Justice John Minton Jr., has announced nominees to fill the district court judicial vacancy for Caldwell, Livingston, Lyon and Trigg counties.
They are attorneys Roger Knoth of Eddyville, Jennifer Nelson of Princeton and Matthew Schalk of Princeton.

Nelson has her own private law practice and serves as a trial commissioner for Caldwell County.
Schalk has his own private law practice and serves as the city attorney for Fredonia.
The vacancy arose with the appointment of former District Judge James Redd to the Circuit Court Judge seat.
