Elsewhere in the National League: Tempers flared, the benches cleared, and the St. Louis Cardinals salvaged the final game of their three-game series with the New York Mets. The Cards scored five times in the fourth inning to comeback and win 10-5. Nolan Arenado went three-for-three at the dish with three runs batted in and was ejected after nearly being hit in the head with a pitch by Mets reliever Yoan Lopez. The Cardinals open a weekend series with the Arizona Diamondbacks tonight at Busch Stadium.

The Chicago Cubs evened the series with the Atlanta Braves at one game each following a 6-3, 10 inning win last night. The rubber game takes place tonight.
