The Kiwanis Club of Hopkinsville celebrated education at Thursday’s meeting, as they awarded several scholarships to local Key Club members.
Receiving $500 scholarships were Sarah Sargeant and Jacquelyn Stewart of Heritage Christian Academy, Emily Grise and Conner Dill of University Heights Academy, and Silas Jackson and Anna Hernandez of Hopkinsville High School.
Key Club is the oldest and largest service program for high school students in the world, with roughly 270,000 members in 5,000 clubs across the nation, and the Hopkinsville Kiwanis Club sponsors clubs at local high schools.
