Positivity rate up in Ky. as 2,997 COVID cases reported

The positivity rate in Kentucky once again increased over the last week as Kentucky reported 2,997 new COVID-19 cases in that time.

There were also 116 newly reported deaths, bringing the death toll in the Commonwealth since the pandemic began up to 15,413. The positivity rate is at 4.35 percent, an increase of roughly a percentage point.

Meanwhile, hospitalization numbers are reaching record lows, with 166 individuals in the hospital with COVID-19, 24 in the ICU and eight on a ventilator.
