The Salvation Army of Hopkinsville will host its annual taco dinner next month to help local youth who may not otherwise be able to afford it to attend a summer camp.
Lt. Lindsey Galabeas says the popular fundraiser will allow nearly three-dozen boys and girls to attend a camp on Dale Hollow Lake in south central Kentucky.
She says the event is set for May 6 at the War Memorial Building beginning at 5:30 and there will also be other ways to give.
You can buy a ticket in advance for $10 per adult or $6 for a child, but tickets will also be available at the door on the night of the dinner.
The children who are sent to the camp are usually individuals the Salvation Army comes in contact with throughout the year or who are referred to them as being in need of a little help.
