A small child drowned Sunday afternoon in a backyard swimming pool in northern Todd County.
Todd County dispatch was notified of a missing child in the Clifty area shortly after 5 p.m. and the Todd County Sheriff’s Department and Emergency Management found the boy floating in a swimming pool, according to a news release from EM Director Daniel Smith.
Despite over 30 minutes of efforts to resuscitate the child, he would eventually be pronounced deceased by the Todd County Coroner’s Office.
No other information has been released on the incident.
