Rotary Auction enters final night

It’s the final day of the 72nd WHOP Rotary Radio Auction and it’s shaping up to be a very successful week.

154 items sold for about $18,000 last night, the diner and sweet shop made just over $8,800 and Hour and Goat Club donations totaled a little over $13,000.

Through five nights, the auction has raised about $357,000, which is $117,000 ahead of last year’s pace.

The auction resumes at 6 tonight on Lite Rock 98.7 and online at lite987whop.com, the Hopkinsville Rotary website and Facebook page and on Spectrum Channel 376. It will go as long as it takes to finish up all of the items.

The final Big Board items will also be auctioned off and the sweet shop and diner will be open for dinner only.

The country ham basket recently auctioned off at the Salute to Agriculture Breakfast was donated by Hutson Ag. to the Rotary Auction and it’s on the final Big Board, with all money to go to the recently created Troy Goode Scholarship Fund.

There was also another cash donor matching up to $10,000 for the scholarship fund.
