Christian County swept the regular season series with Hopkinsville following a 5-3 9 inning victory at Tiger Field. The Colonels led 3-0 before the Tigers scored twice in the fourth and once in the fifth to tie the game. Christian County scored the winning runs in the 9th. Elijah Underhill had a pair of doubles for Christian County withCarter Sholar retiring 14 of the 15 batters he faced in relief of starter Aiden Lewis to get the win.
Christian County improved to 16-3/5-0 in district play. Hopkinsville got two of its five hits from losing pitcher Landon Cook as the Tigers fell to 6-9 overall and 1-2 in district games. Both teams are in action Saturday as Hopkinsville travels to Clarksville and Christian County goes to Lyon County.
Lyon County pounded University Heights 18-0 in three innings at Chris Simmons Field. The Blazers fell to 8-9 and host Henderson County Saturday.
