The Cincinnati Reds had another rough day at the plate in a 6-0 loss to the San Diego Padres at Petco Park. Cincinnati managed just five hits in the loss, and all five were singles. The Reds have lost their last nine games and sit at 2-and-11. They begin a home series with the St. Louis Cardinals tomorrow night with the next Reds on Radio broadcast Saturday afternoon at 2:40 on News Radio 95.3 FM/1230 AM WHOP.

Elsewhere in the National League: Miles Mikolas and three others combined on a five-hitter as the St. Louis Cardinals shut out the Miami Marlins 2-0 in Miami. Nolan Arenado smacked a two-run homer in the ninth to break a scoreless tie for the Redbirds, who have won four-of-five. The Redbirds go for the three-game sweep tonight.

Freddie Freeman launched his second home run of the year as the Los Angeles Dodgers beat the Atlanta Braves 5-1. The Braves host the Miami Marlins for a weekend series starting tomorrow night.

Interleague: The Chicago Cubs fell behind Tampa Bay 8-2 before the game was called after five-and-a-half innings due to rain at Wrigley Field. The Cubs open up a four-game set with the Pittsburgh Pirates tonight.
