The Christian County Public School System announced its teacher and staff member of the year during its annual ceremony Tuesday night.
Hopkinsville High School social studies teacher Joe Riley was named teacher of the year and Freedom Elementary School secretary Stacey Choate was named staff member of the year.
Each school nominated a teacher and staff member for the award and the various departments also nominated a staff member.
