The National Weather Service has confirmed a tornado touched down near Rockcastle in Trigg County during Wednesday’s severe weather.
The EF1 twister with maximum winds of 95 mph formed southwest of Hematite Lake in far northern Trigg County and proceeded northeastward, crossing just south of the Woodlands Nature Station in far southern Lyon County.
Through its path in LBL, many tree limbs fell, large trees were uprooted, and a few trees were snapped.
The tornado continued northeastward across Lake Barkley and caused more tree damage in the Dryden Estates area before lifting.
No injuries or fatalities were reported.
Two EF0 tornadoes were confirmed in Marshall County and an EF1 twister with 90 mph touched down just north of Mayfield Wednesday afternoon.
