The Lexington Herald Leader reports Kentucky will play Akron on the road and pay the Zips $750-thousand to play the game in the 2023 season. The schools entered into a three game contract which started last season at Kroger Field where the teams will play again in 2024. UK paid Akron $1.3 million for the 2021 game and will pay $250-thousand for the 2024 game according to the website FBS Schedules.com.
