Unemployment was down from February to March in Kentucky and it also fell from one year ago.
Kentucky’s seasonally adjusted preliminary March unemployment rate was 4 percent, according to the Kentucky Center for Statistics, down two tenths of a point from the 4.2 percent reported in February 2022 and down seven tenths from the 4.7 percent recorded for the state in March of 2021.
The U.S. seasonally adjusted jobless rate for March was 3.6 percent, down from the 3.8 percent reported in February, according to the U.S. Department of Labor.
