The Hopkinsville High School Site-Based Decision Making Council has chosen Assistant Principal Cindy Campbell to serve as the school’s interim principal.
According to a news release, she will begin in that position effective July 1 and will report directly to the Christian County Public School System Superintendent. Campbell is a graduate of Christian County High School, and she has spent her 25-year career with CCPS, starting her teaching career in 1996 as a teacher at Holiday Elementary. She taught for 13 years at Belmont Elementary before moving to Lacy Elementary as a curriculum specialist.
She has served as Hopkinsville High’s assistant principal since 2018.
Campbell says, Hopkinsville High has a rich history of academic excellence. I am very excited about being given the opportunity to lead the incredible staff and students at HHS. I am looking forward to continuing the traditions at HHS and making sure that our students are provided an equitable education and prepared for the future. I am committed to the academic success of our students as well as supporting our staff and ensuring our parents that we will do our best to provide what is needed for their child.”
