A pretrial conference was held in Trigg Circuit Court Wednesday afternoon for double-murder suspect Landon Stinson, who is accused in the shooting deaths Mildred Sue Faris and Matthew Blakeley.
Stinson appeared before Judge C. A. Woody Woodall alongside defense attorney Bill Deatherage and Commonwealth’s Attorney Carrie Ovey-Wiggins, who informed the court that she is still awaiting lab test results to come back in.
Another pretrial conference was set for August 10.
As previously reported, Kentucky State Police located 29-year old Landon Stinson of Cadiz and arrested him in Los Angeles, California in July of 2021. Detectives from KSP Post 1 traveled to Los Angeles to interview Stinson in connection with the deaths of the 75-year old Faris and the 28-year old Blakeley, who each died from gunshot wounds at a residence on Cerulean Road
Stinson is now lodged in the Christian County Jail, where he is charged with two counts of first-degree murder and possession of a controlled substance.
