Former Kentucky standout Rhyne Howard was the number one pick in the WNBA Draft held last night. Howard will play for the Atlanta Dream. The 6-2 guard is the first in Kentucky history to be drafted as one of the top two picks. The Cleveland, TN native had been projected as a top pick since her sophomore season. The University of Louisville’s Emily Engstler was selected fourth by the Indiana Fever and the University of Tennessee’s Rae Burrell was the ninth overall pick by the Los Angeles Sparks.
