The National Weather Service in Paducah continues to monitor the chance for severe storms in western Kentucky Wednesday afternoon and evening.
The Storm Prediction Center has the region under an enhanced risk, with damaging winds, large hail and tornadoes all possible.
Storms will be most likely during the afternoon and evening hours.
Heavy rain could also cause additional flash flooding in the usual low-lying and poor drainage areas, with an inch and a half to two inches of rain expected in the Pennyrile region.
