The COVID-19 positivity rate did increase over the last week in Kentucky, as the state recorded 3,117 new cases.
There were also 172 newly reported deaths in the last week, putting the death toll in the Commonwealth at 15,200 since the pandemic began. The positivity rate is currently at 2.27 percent, an increase from 1.97 percent the week before.
There are currently 198 individuals in the hospital with COVID-19, 29 in the ICU and 14 on a ventilator.
Nearly the entirety of the state is now ‘green’ on the COVID-19 state community spread map.
