Chicago Cubs manager David Ross and pitcher Keegan Thompson are being suspended and fined by MLB. Ross received a one-game ban and Thompson was suspended three games for intentionally throwing at Milwaukee Brewers outfielder Andrew McCutchen on Saturday. The incident caused both benches to clear. Ross will serve his one-game ban today.

The Lerner family, which has owned the Washington Nationals since 2006, is exploring the possibility of selling the team. The Washington Post is reporting that the Lerner’s recently hired an investment bank to explore such a possibility. It could lead to taking on additional investors in the team, or it could lead to the team being put up for sale. The Nationals are valued at roughly two-billion-dollars according to Forbes.
